My first coach I remember was Jim Lee Howell (1954-60 53-27-4, .655).
He also won the NFL Title in 1956 and was smart enough to hire and make Vince Lombardi his OC in 1954 (although I am not sure they called it that back then) and shortly after converted Tom Landry from player to defensive coordinator.
He drafted and coached six future NFL Hall of Famers, Sam Huff, Andy Robustelli, Rosey Brown, Emlen Tunnell, Frank Gifford and Don Maynard.
When he finally retired the "Beloved" Allie Sherman took the team's reins.
